Derek Sidney Watkinson Clarke (27 Sep 1937 - 10 Mar 2016)

In loving memory of Derek Sidney Watkinson Clarke who sadly passed away on 10th March 2016 loving husband of Wendy Clarke , great father of Carol, Michelle and Matthew, proud grandad of Jasmine, Jay, Amber,Cassie and Alfie. Born in 1937 to Jenny and Sidney Clarke at Newton by Toft. Farmed all of his life and lived in Faldingworth. My dad was a hard working, loving man who will be sadly missed by us all. He's always just been there, so not having him anymore is going to take some getting used to. He developed COPD a number of years ago but the last year has been particularly hard watching him suffer. We want to thank all of the carers who came out to him and helped both him and my mum and the staff at Lincoln county hospital in his last few days. My mum and dad got to celebrate their Pearl Wedding anniversary last year and they loved each other very much . It was in her arms that he spent his last few hours with myself and my brother by his side. We are collecting donations in lieu of flowers for the British Lung foundation so any amount is greatly appreciated. Dads funeral will be taking place at Lincoln crematorium on wednesday 30th march at 1.50pm Even though we knew he very ill, we didn't expect to lose him yet and it doesn't make things any easier as how do you prepare yourself when you love someone and are not ready to let them go. We have great childhood memories and we are lucky we had dad to see us become parents too. He was adored by his grandchildren. We love you dad and life will never be the same without you in it. Rest now and I know you'll be watching over us all x x x x
