Michael Smith (3 Dec 1941 - 6 Mar 2016)

There has always been a special place in my heart for Mick and Margaret. Growing up in the '80s they were like second parents to me, my siblings and many other members of the 13+ youth group. I, like many others, will always look back on those times with a smile and remember how kind and generous Mick and Margaret were to us cheeky young things.

Mick was always laid back and ready to join in with the fun. His "Major prizes" were legendary, as was the sound of his laughter.

This week Heaven will be a much brighter place - full of all night 'Beetle Drives' where the angels get the chance to win a Mick Smith Major Prize.
