In July 1970 2 weeks after Mick & I married you married my lovely brother. Who knew we would all still be together 46 years later. You fought your battles with such determination and you were an inspiration to me when my battles came along with your wisdom and strength. You made me believe that I could get over it just like you had. If your courage could have kept you with us you would still be here. Its now time to rest and sleep with the angels. Ill watch over Ray and the Girls Chris. Good Night & God Bless. Gail, Mick, Claire & Kevin xxx

We have enjoyed many years of Chris's friendship. A kind, caring, generous, brave and uncomplaining lady with a terrific sense of humour who was loved by so many. She and Ray helped us when we needed it most, we will never forget her, and have been very lucky to have been a small part of her life.

  • Thank you so much, on behalf of all of the family, for your lovely message. My mum thought an awful lot of you both and you were very special friends. No wonder you both clicked, Ann, so similar in nature, strong, formidable women! Happy memories of years gone by xx

  • Thank you both for your lovely words and generous donation. You summed up our mum completely, such a strong character. She adored your company, especially during 'happy camping' trips. Wonderful memories for my dad to treasure. Xx

My mum was a strong woman who loved us fiercely. She was soft yet powerful. Firm yet fair. She taught us right from wrong, and only ever wanted the best out of life for us.

She helped raise my children from the moment they were born. I will always be eternally grateful for the time, dedication and patience she has shown and given them over the years, shaping them into the beautiful girls they are today. She loved them unconditionally and with all her heart. She was their Nanny Goat Gruff and they loved her dearly.

I finally know now why she always told us to be strong, because she knew that one day we would need the strength to bear her loss.

And all of a sudden my beautiful mum was gone. Forever in my heart ♡

How do you say goodbye to the most incredible, influential & inspirational woman that ever walked this earth? I am so proud to call you my mum. You fought so hard for so long without complaint to stay with us and help mould your beloved grandchildren & great grandson into remarkable human beings. If they inherit even ten percent of your strength, determination, courage & loyalty then you will have left a truly amazing legacy. We always thought & hoped you were indestructible. But you became tired and the time we always feared and dreaded has come, for you must now enjoy eternal rest. Sleep tight mum and thank you for everything. We will love & miss you forever. Hayley, Scott, Oliver & Carly.
