In loving memory of Stephen John Priest.
Son of Jean and John, Brother to Michael and Jackie, Father to Emily and Christopher, and partner of Chrissy.
Sadly passed away in the early hours of the 18th February 2016 in the presence of his partner and children, aged 57.

Dad was taken into hospital by ambulance late on the 17th February 2016 with shortness of breath. He became unconscious as paramedics were on the scene and, after over an hour of working, they were unable to resuscitate. Very special thank you to the ambulance staff, and police men who stopped to assist at the scene, who worked tirelessly to help him and us.

Dad was always a fun loving guy. Always down for playing silly games, long chats, drinks and laughing until we cried.
Everyone we have spoken to have said what a fantastic guy he was. He always had time for everyone and wanted to make as many friends as possible while he was here. We have been so grateful for everyone's kind words, it has helped us through this incredibly difficult time.

Please find details of funeral arrangements and directions. It will be lovely to see you there. We are asking that people are dressed smart but would love to see some colour in there as well. Dad was always the one dressed in the brightest tops and have a soft spot for his Hawaiian shirt so we thought this would be nice to see.

We are taking donations for the RFU Injured Players Fund and Zoe's Place. The RFU raises money for rugby players who have sustained life changing injuries, either permanently or temporary, to help them with home adaptations and assisting with loss of earnings. This charity did some work with Christopher when he needed to have an operation on his shoulder due to a rugby injury and was left out of work for 12 weeks. Zoe's Place is a local charity that offer palliative and respite care for terminally ill children aged 0-5 years. There will be a donations box on the day but online donations are available via the Just Giving link.

I have many happy memories of time spent with Steve. I Remember watching a certain FA cup match which Covenrry City won around Steves house and then going down the Rocket Pub and getting very drunk. Also the time he and a few others joined me on a late night drive to Bournemouth, sleeping in the car only to discover we only just had enough money for petrol to get home again
Very happy days and great memories
Steve was a true gentleman, always happy. Gone way to soon.
Very best wishes to his family and friends

Many happy memories of a good friend and good times.

I shall always remember him disco dancing down country lanes in Wales singing Eye of the Tiger, the poles of his tent disappearing in every direction from his pack as he did so

Sadly I wont be able to make his funeral as I will be in hospital recovering from surgery that day. Find that hard, not saying a proper goodbye, but I know he would understand and forgive. He will be in my thoughts.

Rest in peace my friend - one of the good guys gone far too early

Best wishes to all his family
