Dr C. Chris Chatterje-Taylor (13 Jun 1932 - 28 Feb 2016)

Christian and I became friends at a lunch we shared with Michelle. I was telling stories about members of my family who were bootleg whiskey producers during the 1930's. He laughed and laughed. We later learned that we shared a love of the natural world and were both especially fond of raptors. We drove all over the countryside on his visits, searching for sights of the big birds. Now, when I am driving to town, I often look over at the passenger side of the car, expecting to see him sitting there. I miss him so very much and I always will - especially when I see a big black hawk silhouetted against the sky. - W

I met Chris at a lunch with my mom at Perkins. He was extremely nice and a perfect gentleman. A rare find these days. I did not see him as often when he was in town, however I will always be thankful that he was such a good friend to my mom. She finally had someone to talk to about nature and literature. He will be missed. - Monica

In memory of my adopted 'dad', I know we will meet again some day. Sleep well my friend.

Saddened by our loss but thankful to know you are now at peace, love you Grandad.
