Wishing granma a happy birthday today, keeping with tradition and good energy. I know granma walks with ius all each day everyday, especially me because granmas on my keyring ;), love just seeing her smile and I keep it moving under her watchful eyes. Sometimes I look up and see granmas picture and just have a little chat with her, with love, the way granma will understand now. We’re all very fortunate to have been blessed with our lives from this woman. Boi I miss Granma more than I miss my dad. Crazy, but it is what it is, otherwise it would be what it isnt. Big shout to the otherside to granma I know you know your missed and that we’re thankful and the love is abundant. love that woman, happy birthday with more Love

And to add you know I know all my uncles and aunties who've all been family, all my cousins and those even knew to me I see and nan sees through my eyes, this is the legacy granma left and in this day and age its beautiful to realise. That essence of granma has transended...... Hahaha and I have to laugh because most of all granma was the queen of keeping ot funny no matter what, that positiveness although worried as a caring great gran and gran mother does. We shine because of her endurance. Mum sorry for being so hard, you brought me through and I know not yours or her childrens loss and thanks to all the family. We'll all grow stronger. Through Gran, the greatest granma for me one could wish for.

Sometimes my sadness is hard to show and its hard to write about things close to my heart so here goes. I guess in writing this its more for us guys and girls because nans like far beyond this earth life that she already knows our pain and greif yet one has to remain resolute and unselfish because when I drive by grans which is regular being on the buses, I find that such a wonderful woman in my life is gone and it saddens me so much now more than before because It just wasnt long enough and yet We all must wait this life until we meet again which is a pretty rubbish testimony. Mainly though gran passed on to me a wonderful love in memories that I see in my daughter and how gran used to sing amazing Grace, so godly, so forgiving, harsh, yet fundementally loving and unjudgmental. A woman who listened, cared and did not bad mouth people to one and other. We spent alot of time growing up with granma and now Im crying because I miss her so much, Cant wait for the day we're together again, I hope gran comes to me in my dreams. If it wasnt through granma and my mother through the sytruggle they endured and still loved so kindly I for one would be lost yet Im
Found thanks for the Grace of Florentina (Baby) Valdere Ward. And thats why bob said no woman no cry because the strength has a deeper meaning.

REFECTION

Florentina Ward was the one in the family of Arthur Ward who with determination reached out to find their Nevis connection. During the 1960s before she launched out on her adventure to the United Kingdom, Florentina and Warrington found their Dad’s brother James Herman Ward and spent time with him to get to know their roots. Thanks to their action the relationship was renewed and the friendship which began was extended to the rest of the family.
As a daughter of Herman I feel obliged to comment on the love she displayed for her uncle Herman. Her many years in England did not dilute this relationship. In all her communication there was always loving concern which she often showed in tangible ways – a testimony of her care and generosity. My Dad, her uncle Herman, spoke of her with pride, respect and great admiration. I am therefore forced to express our thanks to God for her life and contribution. I had great joy in conversing with her just over a week before her final hospitalization and death. Those moments are pleasantly etched in my memory. On behalf of the entire family of Herman, Clarence, and Alwin I extend sincere condolences to Warrington, Ozzie, Brenda, Janice, and others of Uncle Arthur’s family. We have a great family. Let us continue to love one another. This would be a fitting tribute to the memory of Florentina Ward.

The days of our lives are three score and ten and if by reason of strength they be four score years, yet is strength labour and sorrow, for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
