I briefly knew Dutch when I was posted (my first posting) to RAF Kinloss in 1984. I only knew Dutch for a short time but I was struck by the decency and honesty of the man, he left a positive impression upon me. Such a sad loss and my thoughts are with Dutch's family, a true gent.

I've only just heard this terribly sad news and my thoughts are with Louise.
Dutch was a big part of my life as a young lad out in Germany. I always remember him coming in the Police Club with his dog Alfie (I think) when I was barman on the pretence that he was out giving him some much needed exercise! I'm so sorry I wasn't able to pay my respects on the 7 March but I shall raise a glass to Dutch tonight and remember all the good times.

Dutch was a great Mentor to me and many more, not only in the RAFP but in Life as well. We all have many fond memories of him turning up late in the Police Club, throwing his tuppence-worth into whatever "discussions" were going on and sitting back and watching the carnage develop. A master of the wind up - must be the Norn Irn in him.
Such a privilege to have known Dutch and his family, who all attended my wedding at RAF Bruggen in 93.
Great memories, thanks.
RIP Dutch, Stand Easy

Gone but not forgotten,
Although we are apart,
Your spirit lives within me,
Forever in my heart.

No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say goodbye,
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God knows why.

If Love could have saved you,
You would have lived forever.

All my Love and RIP.
Your wee sister Patricia x
