Very peacefully at home with her family by her side, Catherine aged 66 years, formerly of Green Moor. The dearly loved wife of Philip Downs and the late Anthony Godley. Much loved mum of Jeremy and John. Loving daughter of Elsie and the late Charles Steel. Dear mother-in-law of Louise. Devoted grandma and great-grandma.
Treasured sister and auntie. She will also be sadly missed by her extended family and friends.

Catherine was a lovely, loyal, hard working person who always greeted you with a smile. She will be sadly missed. The world is a poorer place without her.

Catherine will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was a lovely, loyal hardworking person who always greeted you with a smile. Whilst living in Green Moor she served the community well. The world is a poorer place without her. I was so very sorry not to have been able to attend her funeral because of snow but my thoughts were with you all.
