For all those who knew my father you knew that he was a kind and humble man. He was a proud father to four daughters whom he loved dearly. He had seven grandsons, two granddaughters and two great grandsons.

I have many fond memories of him but the one that is particularly poignant at this time is the memory I have when I was about 7 years old. We were walking together to the corner shop and I took his hand. I remember looking up at him, he seemed like a giant to me at that age, and I felt so proud thinking 'this is my dad'. I remember feeling such a connection that lasted a lifetime and brings me such comfort now.
