Paul Sykes

On Friday 29th January 2016
At Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, suddenly but peacefully and surrounded by his loving family, Paul Andrew aged 45 years. Adored and loving husband, best friend and soulmate of Yeolande, dearly loved and very proud dad of Gavin and Liam, dearly loved son of David and Sylvia, much loved brother of Tina and a dear uncle, son-in-law, nephew, cousin and friend.

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at Huddersfield Crematorium on Friday 12th February at 2.00pm. At Paul’s request please will mourners wear bowling and football shirts or bright clothes.

Paul might have been small in height but he was big in all the ways that mattered. He was a fantastic husband and dad, a great, if mischievous, son and brother, a well respected colleague and a loyal team-mate, club member and friend. He was committed to his bowling and spent many hours supporting and promoting the juniors of Huddersfield. He was always up for a laugh and a night out and absolutely nothing fazed him, even his illness, he just 'got on with it' because there was no other way to deal with things as far as he was concerned. We have many wonderful memories of Paul and have loved hearing how other people are going to remember him. Please, please feel free to share your stories for us to read as the tales already shared with us on other media have brought us great joy and laughter, as well as a few tears.
