Our Aunty Norma - just 'Norma' - was a lovely person. She showed a great sense of dry Yorkshire humour developed over the years meeting and greeting customers in her various jobs including work in a public house and a greengrocers.
She was adept at seeming to be able to talk for England. Her winning smile and husky laugh made you want to join in because she made you feel relaxed in her company.
She was a very caring person who loved being with children - especially grandson Richard whose photographs adorned nearly every shelf in Norma's home.
Norma looked forward to Spring each year to see the daffodils and tulips appearing in her garden. She liked it when visitors payed her compliments on the range of flowers that she looked after in the pots and tubs on her patio.
Over recent years we have enjoyed receiving the cards she made at the hospice for all our family birthdays and at Christmas.
Vera Oswald, Norma's big sister and my Mum, enjoyed it when they could be together on holiday. They went to Lanzarote more than once and they had lots of fun in each other's company finding many things to have a good laugh about.

Norma was much loved and will be sadly missed. X

Always just 'Norma', never 'Aunty Norma' unless I felt brave enough!

Lovely lady.

Total hooligan who could make a joke about everything!. Will never forget the chocolate incident! Happy to share with anyone who like a good, typical Norma event.

I can see Mum, Norma, Rob and Aunty Annie all having a good laugh winding Dad up now!!!

Fond memories!
