Your birthday today, I got you a brandy, couldn't quite bring myself to open it and offer a toast to you, it felt to lonely and too real. Miss you dad

Harry :a man who sez it as it is. Sometimes appeared grumpy on the outside but we all knew soft inside.A man proud of his family and his work as a miner.
In 1987 you said " don't take your coat off your not stopping don't encourage her"since then we've been on lots of joint family holidays and had lots of fun and laughs on the way, even when I used to borrow the brandy. You had lots of fun reminding me of my embarrassing moments. But I never minded.
Time was too short . in our memories we'll remember those times and say how lucky were we to have you as a friend . on Tuesday when we have to say a final farewell I'll hold up my glass of brandy and say
" thank you harry for those memories . cheers / yamas and salud"
with deepest sympathy. Joy

Harry was known for his most famous
"Liquid lunch".
For example while everyone was eating their lunch in Spain he'd be sat with a
" large beer".

Lost count of the amount of times he called me pest, or said he wud charge me rent if I kept comin round! N it wud make me cry wen I was little till Pauline told him off n still now leavin me in tears but for different reasons. As grumpy as he was he gave me many happy memories, wen I was too scared to go over the rope bridge he carried me. Or wen I was too scared to swim out to see the school of fish he'd take me, etc even tho I was the pest! n the older I got realised what a big heart he had! Uncle Harry will be very sadly missed!! Xxx
