In loving memory of Michael John Leaman Berrecloth who sadly passed away on 8th January 2016.

Husband to Dianne. Father to four boys; Jonathan, Daniel, Thomas and Matthew. He will truly be missed. Each of us are extremely proud and feel very lucky to have been part of this amazing man's life. Each of us will continue to live in a way that would have made him proud.

Michael was 59 and sadly lost the battle against lung cancer. BUT WHAT A FIGHT! Mick never gave up and kept fighting right to the end. He never wanted to know if the odds were against him, he just concentrated on the plan and fighting. We are all so proud of him. He got himself well enough to go fishing with his good loyal friend Rob. This gave him a target an made him stronger. He told the doctors he doesn't mind what happens as long as he can walk to the river and cast a fishing rod, he was happy. He also beat the odds and managed a week away with Dianne in Wales. They spent the week relaxing and walking in the countryside and on the beach, only a short while before that he was very ill in hospital. Right after he went to Wales he beat the odds again and made it on his biannual salmon fishing trip in Scotland with Martin, his best friend of over 30 years.

Macmillan Cancer Support has been incredible to Michael and the whole family. Without their support this whole ordeal would have been much more painful and harder to deal with. Instead of flowers we would like to ask that you use the link on this page to donate in Michael's name to Macmillan. Thank you all so very much!

Please feel free to share memories and photos of Michael on this page :)

On behalf of the family I would like to express my gratitude that Michael's friends and extended family have shown us. Your support, kindness and generosity have been amazing. So much love! We love you all.

Please join us after the service at the Wilsthorpe Tavern in Long Eaton.

Thank you everyone. Your generosity is amazing. I am so proud of my sons for the way they coped yesterday. I am grateful to Sophie, Rosie, Paige and Rowan for their support and love. I am overwhelmed by the cards and flowers I received. Mick would have loved to have stayed with us but he is no longer in pain and is somewhere on a beach or riverbank fishing. Tight lines my darling until we meet again. Love always. xx

It is an absolute honour to be his son. It was an absolute honour to spend yesterday with his dear friends and family to celebrate his life.

Thank you all for being a part of his life. He was a great man and lives on in our hearts. Thank you for your support over the not just the last few weeks, but since he became ill. Thank you for your generosity if you got my mum a card or some flowers. I can't thank you enough of you donated to Macmillan in his name. Since he passed away we have raised almost £1000. That money goes on to help out someone else who is fighting.

I am so proud of my mum. She has been amazing and despite what she thinks, she has coped really well. I'm also really proud of my 3 little (ok not that little) brothers...dad would have been proud of you yesterday. Also a special thanks to Sophie, Rosie, Paige and Rowan who have supported us boys through it all. We couldn't be there for eacthother and mum if we didn't have you guys backing us up and wiping away our tears.

Lots of love
Jonny

so very sorry that someone as lovely as Mick has lost his brave fight, and my love goes to Di and family. My memories of Mick include him being a great family man and his family meant the world to him. I am also eternally grateful for the time he rescued me from the starling that had fallen down my chimney and taking my lovely friend home on our catch up nights. I hope heaven has endless fishing lakes and pubs xxx

I have many memories of my Uncle and stories I smile about everytime I think of him. I definitely get my 'hollow legs' as they say from him and always enjoyed hearing from my mum how he had been on his annual Christmas Eve bender. Secretly, as a young chap, I thought this was awesome and looked up to him for it, as strange as that might sound.

The worlds a strange place sometimes, not exactly fare either. I will miss you Uncle Mick, I hope you are Ok and having a drink in heaven if there is such a place. x
