Terry was born in Trehafod, in the Rhondda Valley and although he moved with his family to live in Brockworth, Gloucestershire in his early teens, he was always a Welshman at heart, and very proud of his birthplace.
He married the love of his life, Pauline, when he was 19 years old, and they had a long and happy marriage. The other loves of his life were his three children - Jane, Mark & Tracey - and his grandchildren Jamie, Phil, Sian, Hayley, Joe, Izzy, Katie & Tom, and great grand daughter Lilly. His other great passions in life were rugby and music!
Terry was a time-served engineer and during his working life he worked for Armstrong Siddeley, Lucas Bryce, Dowty, Listers, the Iron & Steel Corp of South Africa (Iscor), and latterly with Formflo in Cheltenham until his retirement.
After retiring in 2004, Terry & Pauline moved to Cyprus and these were some of the happiest years of their lives. Sadly Pauline passed away in 2013. Her service was held on what would have been their 53rd Wedding Anniversary. Terry continued to spend as much time as he could in Cyprus but after being diagnosed with an incurable condition in November 2014, he returned to the UK in May 2015 to be with his family, who were blessed to have this extra time with him.
