In loving memory of Edward Kirk who sadly passed away on 22nd December 2015. Edward (Ted) was born in Nuneaton on 5th Dec 1935 to George and Clara Kirk, he was the youngest of 9 children, 6 boys and 3 girls.

He attended Abbey Green infants and junior school and then Manor Park senior school. He joined the Army Cadets at 13 and stayed in until he was called up for national service aged 18, rising to the rank of sergeant.

After national service he worked for Daimler on the bus line building chassis then to the fighting vehicle department and finally on the car track , working on the Majestic and DK400.

He then spent many years in the pub trade running the Black Horse in Spon End Coventry, The Wine Barrel and The Old Royal Oak, both in Rugby.

He then moved from the pub trade to Royal Mail as a postman and ended his working career for the Royal Mail as a development tutor.
