My letter for a Special Grandad,
My Grandad was the one who would sit there with me and do jigsaw puzzles,
Sit there for ages doing crosswords.
We used to love watching Laurel and Hardy together, we'd laugh all the time at it and we must have watched each episode two or more times.
I remember when I was younger Grandad would let me style his hair (the bit he had) into different styles and he'd always laugh at his self after I had finished.
He'd always take me to the park and push me on the swings or would take me up town.
Grandad was the one who probably brought me more sweets than I was allowed, we'd sit there together and eat them all.
He loved his sweets and chocolate the same as I do. I would always bring him something sweet when I visited him.
Nana would always moan at Grandad when he had had too much sugar and he would always pull faces behind her back which always made me laugh.
Grandad made me laugh a lot and these memories are the ones I will cherish the most.
The last memory I have of Grandad was from Christmas Eve, my sisters, Nana and I were stood around Grandads bedside, Nana helped him open his presents from us and he gave us a little smile.
Before we left my sisters and I made sure we gave Grandad a kiss and a big hug.
I'm so glad that I was able to see him open his presents and and to see him before he passed away.
My Grandad was a kind and thoughtful man and I'm so great full that I had him as my Grandad.
I loved him very much and he loved all four of his granddaughters, even though we could be pains at time or be to loud for him but we all knew he loved us with all his heart and he loved my Nana most of all.
Fly high Grandad.
I love you.
Your loving granddaughter Abbie xxxx
