You showed us all that even when the chips were down you stood proud and strong ,and wouldn't let your illness get in the way of enjoying your life and family.If ever we need inspiration we need not look any further than you.

I couldn't have asked for a better grandad, I have so many happy memories of you and I'm grateful I got to go on holiday with you and Nan as I can remember those times forever.
Growing up I loved staying at yours and spending time with you.
You are the most selfless and strongest man I have ever known, especially at the final stages you would never admit to me you were in pain and always had a brave face. I'll try my hardest to make you proud. Thinking of you always, love you, james
