Thank you for being a great Nan , I used to love spending the summer holidays with you and grandad; if I could go back to those days I would, they were the best days of my life. When we used to go to the caravan and visit the coast at bexhill you would always say to me that you loved me more than all the pebbles on the beach and I would always say back that I loved you more than all the grains of sand and it was true. At night you would always give us a kiss and say na night and god bless, I still use it to say to Sarah now. I have so many amazing memories from all those times we spent together, but mostly that you always made me feel safe and loved. I’m happy you are at peace and can go and be with grandad now. I still love you more than all those grains of sand and I will miss you. Xx

To our lovely Jan,

you had a presence that spoke volumes. you communicated through your expressions, your spirit, and the quiet resilience that defined your life. you taught those around you the value of patience, the beauty of quiet moments, and the power of unconditional love. your life reminded us all that connection doesn’t always need words—it needs presence, kindness, and understanding.

you will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by those who knew her. rest gently, Jan. your voice was always heard in the ways that mattered most.

we miss you laughing at us, we loved you and will always love you xx

Nothing you love is lost , not really.
Things , people - they always go away sooner or later . You can't hold them anymore than you can hold moonlight.
But if they have touched you , if they are still inside you then they are still yours.
The only things you ever really have are the ones you hold in your heart xxx
Love you Mum , all my love Mandy xxx
