John and I feel we have lost a great friend and team mate in Martin, a special person indeed. Dear Beryl and family, we are so sad that you have lost someone so very special. I was very lonely when I first moved to Hythe in 2013, on a drive around the marina I saw an interesting boat(the Ali Mac) in her berth with a man scrubbing the roof! It was Martin, I chatted to him and asked if they needed recruits as crew, a resounding ‘yes’ was the response! The rest is history, every trip with Martin was always a joy with him and Beryl! John became very close to Martin, he learnt so much from him, they both enjoyed having a head in the engine bay! Rest in peace Martin. Much love Gaye and John xx
We shall be attending the funeral and the Celebration of his Life afterwards.

It has been a privilege to get to know Martin over the last couple of years as one of the Muttley Crew. Such a lovely bloke with a gentle, but sharp sense of humour. He talked constantly about his girls and was so proud of them. RIP Martin.
