Uncle Maurice, Where you gone? A Good old boy as Andrew said when I spoke to him, I can't think of a better description, down to earth, always welcoming, always with a smile, so skilled and hard working, thank you for coming into our lives, you are missed but will not be forgotten, many happy memories which we will all treasure.

I was going to say something at my dads funeral tomorrow but I feel I will not be able to so here is a little bit

My dad is the best dad I could have ever wished for.
I have so so many happy memories and are very grateful for all of them .

Here are a few.

Dad buying me a Shetland pony when I was very little.
My dad loved Christmas, Karl and I would have a mountain of presents to open.
He made a trailer to go on back of the tractor so Karl could take me for rides around our garden at Taverham
I especially loved the days helping dad at work doing carpentry.
I remember what fun we had in his little van that dad had kitted out himself. Karl and I would sit in the back talking to dad through a telecom he put it there .
I have fond memories of our family holidays . We would go to Pontins , New Forest ,Guernsey and many more places. We also went to Italy by ship as dad wouldn’t fly .
I remember going to country and western dances with my dad .
We had many happy days going to Yarmouth Joyland, amusements and always having mushy peas , chips , doughnuts and of course dad loved cockles .
Dad used to wait up for me to get home from clubbing pretending he had fallen asleep on the sofa
My dad was a clever man and always had a solution for everything.
It was a proud day when my dad walked me down the aisle to marry Mark.
I was and will forever be a daddy’s girl.
