Sadly, Ive just learned of John's passing today.

I worked with John briefly in the early 70s for Durham County Council. We got on really well but our paths didn't cross again until a couple of years ago when John got in touch through Messenger. We met up and caught up and I met Lesley Ann. John was just as I'd remembered him - smiley, friendly and upbeat - a really nice man.

My thoughts are with Lesley Ann and John's

Laughter Across the Fence.
In the quietest of moments, we'll
find a smile,
Remembering the times, that
made life worthwhile,
For the neighbour we've lost, the
laughter we shared,
In the moments of joy, when you
truly cared.
We'll share the tales, the jokes
you'd make,
The memories of laughter, we'll
fondly partake,
Through the tears and the
sorrow, we'll find a way,
To cherish the humor, that once
brightened our day.
Laughter across the fence, a
memory so dear,
A tribute to the neighbour, we
once held near,
In the midst of our grief, let
laughter ring,
For the joy you brought, forever
will cling.
