Funeral Director
Peter Conneely
10 April 1941 – 22 March 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Conneely, who left this world peacefully on 22 March 2025 in Bath, England, at the age of 83.
Born on 10 April 1941 in Spiddal, Co. Galway, Ireland, Peter’s life was one of warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family. Though his journey took him far from the shores of Galway, his Irish spirit and love for his homeland remained a constant source of pride throughout his life.
Peter was a loving husband to Margaret Conneely, a cherished father to Maria, Robert, and Elizabeth, and a devoted grandfather to Federico, Fabio, Luke, and Elwood. He found immense joy in his family, treasuring every moment spent with his children and grandchildren.
A man of quiet strength and integrity, Peter will be remembered for his generosity, wisdom, and gentle nature but sharp wit. His presence brought comfort to those around him, and his kindness left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Peter’s funeral will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, 8th April, at St Edmund’s Catholic Church in Calne. A reception will follow at The Pewsham, where family and friends are warmly invited to gather and celebrate his life.
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him.
May he rest in peace.
The family have chosen the Adur Special Needs project as a charity for any donations to be made to. Peter’s grandchild, Elwood, has autism and benefits from the work of this charity.
