Mike Badger (8 Sep 1944 - 16 Mar 2025)

In loving memory of Mike Badger who sadly passed away on 16th March 2025. Mike was a wonderful husband to Anne, father to Rachel and Elizabeth, granddad to Leon and Saskia, friend and work colleague. He loved his family, his dogs, his work, cricket, fishing, holidays - especially in Italy and walking in the Lake District. After three biopsies in January and February this year, Mike was finally diagnosed with mesothelioma, cancer caused by asbestos. Unfortunately he deteriorated rapidly and passed away on Sunday 16th March, at home surrounded by his family and dogs. His funeral is to be held at 11am on Thursday 24th April at Stourbridge Crematorium. Donations should be made to Coniston mountain rescue. Mike loved walking in this part of the Lake District and admired the work of the Mountain Rescue team.
