David Michael Rose (16 Nov 1950 - 7 Mar 2025)

In loving memory of David Michael Rose who sadly passed away on 7th March 2025

David was a loving husband to Alison, married for 49 years, amazing dad to Shelley and Catherine, supportive father-in-law to James and Will and a fantastic Grandad to Harrison, Charlie, Jude and Luca (born 5th March 2025). Sadly David didn't get to meet little Luca but we know that he will guide him through his life and we will always make sure Luca knows everything about his Grandad.
Sadly David lost his battle to cancer, however before this horrible disease took hold, he loved family time, especially reading to the grandchildren, helping them fix things that they broke, going on family holidays and enjoying lots of family meals together!
We are all already missing him so much, but we have so many happy memories that will stay with us forever!

After the Funeral at The Emmanuel Church, we would love you all to attend a short ceremony at Bretby Crematorium at 1pm, where there will be a photo montage of David's life, followed by a celebration of David's life at the Greyhound Inn, 149 Ashby Rd, Swadlincote DE11 7BU.

We are raising money for the Nightingale Macmillan Unit within Royal Derby Hospital, where David and family were so well looked after during his final days.
