Pamela June Mawby (nee Lloyd)
23/12/1946 – 16/3/2025
It is with huge heartache that the family of Pam Mawby announce her passing on Sunday 16th March aged 78 years. Beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend to so many. Daughter of Ray and Win Lloyd. She will be lovingly remembered and honoured by daughter Saffron (son in law Paul), grandsons Liam and Dylan, great-granddaughter Liliana and brother Terry. She will be reunited with her cherished son Dan and her '3rd baby' Jack. the whippet
A lifetime resident of Rugby with a working-life spanning comptometers to tyres to antiques to payroll followed by years of volunteering at Myton Hospice, building so many connections and friends along the way. A vibrant, kind and giving soul – a huge light has been diminished.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be remembered and celebrated and anyone who knew her will be welcome with open arms at the funeral at St Andrew’s Church, Rugby, on Monday 7th April at 1:30pm. The burial will follow, attended by the family and close friends. Please join us afterwards, from 3pm at Draycote Hotel, CV23 9LF.
Flowers by individual choice. Donations to Myton Hospice.
The family wishes to thank all healthcare staff involved in supporting Pam over the last 4 years including the Myton Hospice at Home team.
Pam’s family and friends are invited to do one or all of the following (no obligations at all):
1) To match her love of poetry please send the name of a poem (any style or subject even your own) or a song lyric to saffronmawby1@gmail.com by the 3rd April. These poems and lyrics will be included in a small way within the service (no reading aloud required!)
2) To build up her stone and shell collection even further please bring a gorgeous stone, shell or crystal to the ceremony
3) To honour her love of nature please bring one stem or sprig of flowers or greenery from your own garden to build a collective display for Pam
