Dear Friends and Family,

Elizabeth Anne Careless (Anne, Mum, Aunty or Grandma to all of us) sadly passed away at St Richard's Hospice in Worcester on 3rd March 2025.

Mum was always adamant that she wanted those who loved her to celebrate a life well lived after her death. Please use this page as a means of collecting and sharing your memories of Anne. You can upload photos, share stories, donate to the hospice that made her last days so peaceful, or simply enjoy the memories left here by others.

You can also use this page to RSVP to Mum's funeral ceremony at the South Downs Natural Burial Site on 21st March, but feel free to contact us directly if you prefer.

We look forward to sharing our memories with you all as we celebrate Anne's life.

Laura & David x

Fred King donated in memory of Elizabeth

Anne was a friend for over 40 years and we were so sorry to lose her whilst being grateful for the extra years we unexpectedly enjoyed after her remission. We will miss our trips to Woollas to see her garden, and enjoy local National Trust gardens and Shakespeare at Stratford together. The funeral service was different but very moving and it was wonderful to see how Laura and David had grown into amazing adults who are a credit to Anne. Love to all the family and thank you for inviting us to share in the funeral. Fred & Carolyn

Goodbye dearest Anne.
You always saw something in me that I failed to see, you encouraged me to shoot for the moon. You helped me during a very scary time in my life. I will never forget.
I will always treasure memories of you and admire your strength. You were an inspiration.

“Nothing beats kindness.” said the horse. “It sits quietly beyond all things”

Thank you Anne.

My deepest condolences to your family.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Anne. She was a popular visitor to Churchdown library and very supportive of us volunteers. We were sad of course when she retired as she left a hole but we are sure this pales into insignificance with losing a loved mum and grandma. Sincere condolences
