In loving memory of Barbara Hart who sadly passed away on 24th February 2025.
Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Barbara passed away peacefully at Aslockton Hall nursing home. Married to Harry ex RAF Flight Sergeant for over 40 years. Barbara grew up in Bottesford living all her 95 years at Charnwood, the house her father built. She was committed to her community, serving for many years on Bottesford Parish Council, Melton Borough Council and was also Chairman of Governors at Belvoir High School Bottesford. Not afraid of speaking out, she always wanted the best for her village and the surrounding area. She was proud to serve the borough as Mayor from 1988 - 1989 and attended a Buckingham Palace garden party in recognition of her community service. A lover of nature and passionate gardener, she was never happier when 'pottering' in her garden. Her wisdom, common sense and love for her family will be solely missed.
