Rita Victoria Hooper (28 Oct 1948 - 26 Feb 2025)

In loving memory of Rita Victoria Hooper who suddenly passed away at 7pm on 26th February 2025 from an intracerebral haemorrhage.

Rita, our beloved mum, is survived by our dad, her loving husband Clyde, soul mates who have been together 61 years, we, her children, Clyde, Carl, Michelle and Darren, her 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Mum lived her younger days with her grandparents before meeting dad and getting married in Gretna Green in 1966 and settling down in Birmingham. She has worked in various jobs including a seamstress and cleaner but her most important and favourite role was as a wife and mother. When it was just the two of them again, they decide to move to Polesworth near Tamworth where they have lived happily for the last 30 years. She didn’t gain her driving license until into her 50’s and loved her first and only car, a white Peugeot 309. She worked up until the age of 62 and has suffered a few health issues over the last few years but despite this she enjoyed spending retirement with dad.

Her departure was sudden and a shock and the pain we are all feeling and the hole left in our hearts is immense. We will never forget you mum, love you always and forever.
