In loving memory of Jane Caroline Bromhead, who passed away peacefully on 28th February 2025.
Jane embraced life with joy and an open heart. Wherever she went, you were likely to meet someone who knew her—she had a special way of touching lives and leaving a warm, lasting impression.
Born at Guy’s Hospital on May 27, 1965, to her devoted parents, Ann and Bill, Jane’s world was made complete with the arrival of her beloved siblings, Lloyd and Nancy. The three of them shared a deep, unbreakable bond that lasted a lifetime.
She attended St. Nicholas’ School in Chislehurst before moving on to Coopers, where she formed lifelong friendships with Leslie-Ann, Suzanne, and Sue. Their circle of love and laughter later grew to include Michelle, who became a pillar of support to both Jane and Bill over the years.
Jane’s talent for hairdressing led her to study at the London College of Fashion before beginning her career at Del Capellos in Chislehurst. She then worked alongside her parents at Snip Inn in Swanley and Chislehurst, before continuing at their much-loved salon in Widmore Green.
Jane was incredibly lucky to have a life filled with love, and among the people who meant so much to her were Altan and his family. Their kindness, warmth, and unwavering support were a constant source of comfort and joy.
She shared a particularly special friendship with Barry and Keeley. They brought laughter, joy, and wonderful memories into her life—whether it was through shared adventures or simply being by her side through life’s ups and downs. The bond they shared was one of true friendship, and their presence brought her so much happiness.
Beyond these close friendships, Jane was also blessed with a wonderful group of friends, including her Potters group.
The greatest joy of Jane’s life was her son, Billy. She was endlessly proud of him, especially for the love and care he gave her over the past year, since her diagnosis in February 2024. Their bond was truly special.
Other important people in her life included Graham, Billy’s father, and Martyn, with whom she shared many happy memories in Spain. Jane had an adventurous spirit and a love for travel—33 incredible cruises and countless treasured holidays with family and friends, particularly in this past year.
Her love extended to her cherished nieces and nephews—Charlotte, Joseph, Grace, Freya, and Ava—as well as her great-nephew Oscar and great-niece Mimi.
Jane was also incredibly lucky to have a wonderful relationship with her Uncle Tom, Auntie June, Cousin Kevin, and his children, Natalie and Russell. Their love and support meant so much to her throughout her life.
Even in difficult times, Jane always put others before herself. She was fun, kind, generous, and beautiful—inside and out. She was deeply loved and will be missed beyond words.
The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either St. Christopher's Hospice or St. Nicholas Church, as a way of honoring Jane’s memory.
