Diane (Carriage return!) I often look over at the desk overlooking the river that you quietly marked as yours, the other day I finally sat there to be close to you, but also waited for you to turn up so I could move for you, then the realisation that you have gone hit me. A huge void has been left in our team since you have gone, this still hasn't quite registered that you are no longer with us. You were so knowledgeable, calm (on the outside), incredibly caring, and always available. I didn't know you for long, but you played a bit part in my learning and wanting to join the SDS team. I am sad that you are no longer with us but glad you are in no more pain, forever in my heart and mind....

Diane, it still doesn’t feel real that you’re gone. I’m incredibly grateful for the wonderful working relationship we shared. I miss our phone calls; they were never just quick chats— you always took the time to ask how I was and share something that would make me laugh. You had a way of knowing exactly what to say and do in every situation, which is why everyone felt so comfortable coming to you. I’ll never forget how you spoke about your plans for retirement, the places you wanted to visit, and the adventures you were excited to have so it saddens me that you were taken so suddenly. I truly hope you are at peace. You are deeply missed by all of us.

You are never far from my thoughts Diane especially today as it was a perfect sunny and warm day for one of our walks on the coast, one of your favourite things to do.
Your loss is felt keenly by many of us as you were taken far too early. Thankfully, I have some lovely memories.
So for now it is goodbye dear friend, until we meet again.

In loving memory of a wonderful lady, started as colleagues many years ago and soon became friends. Di, we shall all miss you, we had some giggles, and lots of chats, always checking in on others. You will always be remembered so fondly. How lucky we all were to have you as a friend. Until we meet again xx
