David passed on January 28th 2025 after many years confronting his deteriorating condition caused by Vascular Dementia. Many of you will know of David's professional life and achievements as a dancer with the Royal Ballet companies for over 50 years, but what I shall remember, cherish and hold in my heart for ever, is the David that I loved and shared my life with, in sickness and in health, for 56 years, 53 of those years in marriage. If nothing else, I think I made him smile.

Many shared memories of your ballets and your amazing interpretations. Will always remember dancing The Rakes Progress with you in Holland. Only time I remember the audience on their feet applauding so vigorously- mainly for you ofcourse -I was just the betrayed side kick - Jeff’s memories are of you as Man with a Rope - brilliant and your log book in the Sword of Alsace with the hairy bum. He says it was the first time he nearly peed on stage.

I have many fond memories of David. I was always in awe of him as a performer and artist. David was very generous in terms of passing on his knowledge of stagecraft. Rest well David.

During my 6 years with the old Royal Ballet Touring Company, I remember David fondly as an outstanding member of that Company which was one large and happy family. One couldn't have known a nicer, more friendly and loyal dancer than David. In spite of career moves and changes one never forgets family members and David continues to live on in our happy and treasured memories. Bravo David.
