Always have the fondest of memories of Nigel. Many many years ago as a student nurse I did a two week placement at Leonard E Smith to observe how ‘care continues after death’. Nigel and team were so respectful and caring and I never forgot it. Years later I became a palliative nurse and often think back to that placement. Rest in peace Nigel and thank you for all your years of service to the care of others 🥶🙏

Dearest adopted English Dad, thank you for being such a loving, patient and inspiring host - together with your wife Shirley - when I was only 12 years old and stayed with your family for two summers. You made me feel so at home in the UK with your warmth and humour, that I came back to stay and marry an English man myself ;). A deeply felt thank you to you and love to the whole family. We are very sorry we are not able to be here today. Angie and family
