Goodbye my big brother. Thank you for sharing the good times and the tragic ones. I’ve forgiven you for making me walk behind you on the way to school because my spots were so bad. 😁 Sleep peacefully till we meet again. Love you x

I like to share how much I appreciate and respected your dad, how he was with me, way back, he did have a very positive effect on me. He showed me how even little acts of kindness and acceptance can ripple through our lives, even though decades have passed. Your dad was such a person that his genuine realness touched others souls and brought us back into connection with our humanness.

I can think of many acts of kindness and support from your dad, he did more for me than anyone in my family ever did. I felt your dad’s generosity of spirit, his love of life and acceptance and it was a very powerful experience for me. His lovely presence, humour, laughter and sheer determination, helped me in ways I couldn’t imagine and in his way with me, he showed me a kinder way of being.

  • Thank you so much for your generous gift, I know it will make a big difference. Dad received reiki through Paul Sartori, which continued when he was in hospital and it helped him immensely. They provided the things we needed for Dad to spend his last days at home and to care for him overnight so we could get some rest. We can't thank them enough.

Heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has taken the time to leave a message. I have been reminded of things I had forgotten and moved by memories shared. It's apt, given dad's sense of humour, that we can come together and remember him with a smile, a chuckle or maybe even a belly laugh! Thank you

Dad with Stinky and Cromwell. He's in the pond he dug, by the fields he fenced, the outbuildings he constructed. He taught himself how to wire and plumb the cottage. Such incredible drive, passion and determination.

I met Simon in 1999 when he responded to a card I put up in a wholefood shop asking for help with general smallholding stuff. Couldn't offer wages but good wholefoods, company and the relaxation therapies I practiced at the time. He had a lot to put up with. An Old English Sheep dog who always wanted a hug ( luckily he'd had his own OES in the past) a young "black heathen" Labrador, his words, who made off with any tool he put down.Baby pigs who escaped from just about everything we tried to contain them in. He worked hard and soon became part of the mad chaotic family. It suited him. I always knew when he was coming up the one mile track as he had an air horn on his 2CV and really enjoyed confusing any livestock who were minding their own business in the fields. Our friendship lasted through several home moves, his and mine and I missed him when he left the area. Simon had a heart of gold, adored his girls and was so proud of them I'm glad he was so close to Lynne, Fiona and Ellie for his later years. Rest easy Simon. You'll no doubt be up to mischief up there. See you another day. Annie

Simon, A good man of life and land, his love for Lynne, Fiona and Ellie never ending. Almond tart, bread, quiche, roast potatoes, ice cream the best. His love of Stinky and Cromwell, Simon, the only person to teach Stinky to bark and snarl at the words Maggie Thatcher !. My heart is sad of his life passing, may you rest. My heartfelt condolences to the family.
