We met at Salisbury Central Nurses Home in January 1970 at 17 years old, we thought we were so grown up and ready to rule the world! So many fond memories of that time and all the madcap things we did, and the fun we had, singing and dancing in the wee hours of the morning will stay with me forever. You died too soon and will be sadly missed, there is a new bright star in the sky, fly free my friend. Love & sympathy to all the family. Jan xxx

Annie, such a wonderful lady, my best friend, my person to go to, honest, reliable, intelligent, mischievous to naughty, full of fun and one in a million.
No one can fill her shoes, the wealth of memories are immeasurable.
I echo these sentiments from the "team" from Wilkins Infectious Diseases Hospital, Salisbury, Rhodesia (1972) we are all still in close contact with each other.
We extend our deepest sympathy and love to her dear family

Ann my friend we first met briefly on the tennis courts at Mutare High School Zimbabwe. Then again at a meeting at Island Hospice and we just clicked.
We have shared so many precious memories. a couple of experiences at hospice. We had a male client who was worried about who would care for his cat when he had gone, "Ann says we will look after him' she did not like cats but he was installed in the Hospice Office and was loved by all. Another was a young lad who wanted a bath and beer and was paralyzed on one side. So off we went up to the Hospice where we managed to give him a bath and a beer....That was Ann.
We had wonderful evenings once a week when 6 of us used to get together and play cards, good food, a gossip, lots of laughter and friendship.
We also played lots of tennis especially at Penhalonga, we partnered each other in competitions....don't think we ever won but oh the fun of it.
Vintage car runs you and Steve in your MGB and John and I in a Spitfire both red cars, open tops and our hair blowing in the wind.
Talk and tea (you loved your tea) we never got tired of. We were always popping into each others homes -no invitation needed. We shared all the good times and the sad ones too.
Off to the theatre we would go seeing just about every performance at the Courtauld put on some good and some awful!!
Even when you left Mutare we kept in touch, meeting up every time we came to the UK. Carrying on were we left off talking, laughing and sometimes tear.
Finally the wonderful (surprise you did not know we were coming) week we had in New Zealand 8 years ago for Stacey's 40th birthday. Oh that was such a blessing.
Thank you dearest Ann for the memories and for being my friend. I will end as you always did after all our numerous phone calls. "Let Me Go"
In the words of Vera Lyn "we'll met again don't know where don't know when but we'll meet again some sunny day.
Fly high my friend free from pain and suffering.
Miss you Love you. Di

Go'
