So sad to hear that Anita is no longer with us . I’m only sorry that I didn’t know she was unwell and I’m had not seen her for such a long time . I have happy memories of our Christmas times at Mums house in Sissinghurst. May she rest in peace now .

I was so shocked and sorry to hear the news of my aunt Anita’s passing. I have so many happy memories at Christmas at Nanny’s house with her, I will always treasure those times. I’m currently living in Colombia so won’t be able to make the funeral but will be thinking of you all on this difficult day.

So very sorry to hear the sad news of the loss of Anita. She was so very kind and helpful to me as a shy 17 year old when I first began working in London Life's City Office in 1972. We enjoyed some fun evenings together and several of her other workmates have said how much they valued her support in the work environment. She was always so calm, friendly and thoughtful of others. I remember we both entered a competition for premium bonds and Anita came second and invited me to join her when she went to the Mansion House for a reception with the Mayor of London. Such happy memories. Our love to Alan, Helen and Daniel, may the happy times you all shared bring you some comfort and keep her with you in your hearts. xx

A life well-lived. As University friends of Alan, we have read with pleasure about the many happy events in Anita and Alan’s lives together over the years. We hope that the very special memories created will bring some comfort at this very sad time and in the future. We send sincere and heartfelt condolences to Alan, Helen and Daniel. It has been so sad to learn of Anita passing. We met in 1964 when I joined London Life and have remained friends since albeit by letter due to my moving to Somerset and now to Essex. I have such happy memories of our time in London and sharing news of family and grand children. I shall miss not hearing from her very much but so pleased she has had such a happy life with Alan, Helen & Daniel. Will always be in my thoughts. Margaret Martin (Ellis)

It was with great sadness that I heard from Alan of Anita’s death.
I have known Alan from our student days and I would like to offer my condolences to him and their daughter Helen and family and their son, Daniel.
Unfortunately I will not be able to attend Anita’s funeral but will be there in mind.
