In loving memory of Audrey Turner who sadly passed away on 2nd February 2025, aged 93 years.
Audrey loved her pets, holidays and warmth.
Born in Nottingham and lived at Sherwin Road and then at Arnesby Road, Lenton before marrying Derrick Turner in Jan 1982 and residing at Banbury Ave Toton. Audrey spent the early years of her adult employment working at DAKS - Simpsons, the upmarket clothing company based at Park Street, New Lenton. She subsequently was employed by Ford and Slater at their premises near the Wollaton Park Gatehouse on Derby Road. Audrey's parents were Charles Arthur Simpson and Agnes Clemence Henson who married in 1922 and had 2 children, with Derek being her elder brother born 1926. He married in 1948 to Kathleen Margaret Green of Grenoside, Sheffield and had two children John and David.
With her husband Derrick, Audrey went on many holidays abroad such as to the USA and Russia and also enjoyed long walks in the Yorkshire Dales with their 2 dogs. In the early 1970s Audrey joined a Keep Fit Club where she made friends with Brenda, Cynthia, Pat and another Pat. After the Class was discontinued they decided to keep fit up at each other's house. Audrey still met up with the Keep Fit ladies until recently albeit just for a meal and a natter at a local pub.

Audrey at Willowcroft care home with a battery operated cat. Audrey was only at Willowcroft at Spondon for two weeks before she suffered a stroke and died in hospital a week later.
