In loving memory of Yvonne Lovell who sadly passed away on 28th January 2025 aged 68.

She was a beloved wife, mum and nan, who will be missed greatly. She spent her life dedicated to others spending most of her working life in childcare. She was loved by many, and enjoyed her holidays and having a drink with friends.

We hope you will be able to join us for a celebration of life service held at Southend Crematorium on Tuesday 4 March at 1400, which will be followed by a drink at the Elms in Leigh.

If you would like to send flowers, please arrange for these to be sent to Stibbards and Sons (Leigh) on the morning of the funeral. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can donate to our chosen charity, Cancer Research UK.

Oh God, Yvonne, my second mum, my family. I am so sorry that we lost so much time, I'm so sorry we lost years, I have so many regrets, but I love you and your family more than I could ever say, I will cherish the memories, the happy times, the times you held my hand, gave me hugs, comforted me, brought me in to your family as if I was yours. I am so sorry, I love you and miss you ❤️ To george I'm so sorry you lost her, your person, your soul mate, your other half, to my kimbles, and candice I'm so sorry you lost your Mama, that your family lost such an incredible woman, a nan, a wife, a sister, a mother, a friend, just an incredible woman!! Great memories of Rita and Sheila our 2 mum's and us 6 kids from Maidstone House in Poplar where we all grew up together, Yvonne, Jeanette and David, Johnny, Jamie and Terry always playing on the landing on the 6th floor at the flats, us girls with dolls and prams and the boys with soldiers and footballs. But the best memory of all was when we was all on holiday in Leysdown in a caravan, Yvonne and myself went in the sea, my brother Johnny said he would look after our towels and clothes well he did but he took them back to the caravan and we had to walk back through the town in our bikinis !! Great times Yvonne and great laughs xxxx

I’m so sorry to hear the sad news of Yvonne’s passing. I have many happy memories of working with her at St Nicholas School. We had some great girls weekends away together, including Loret De Mar for my 50th. We shared a love for Barry Manilow and went to see him a couple of times. Every time I hear a Barry Manilow song it reminds me of her, especially the song Mandy. Yvonne was a lovely person and I’m so sorry for your loss.
