One Life's True Character's

Mark and Donna Waterton donated £25 in memory of George

Dear George

Life in Pettie house won't be the same without you. All your stories and jokes will live on in our memories. You were one of the most generous people we have ever met and we felt like we lived next door to George and the Chocolate Factory as when our kids were young they would always receive arm loads of chocolates from you. You even kept your cool when Richard or as Maureen referred to him as Bam Bam managed to put your kitchen window through with his yo yo. Not to mention saving the day by driving Donna to St Mary's when she was in Labour with Dean. A big thank you for giving Vinnie his first job pulling the barrow out. But most of all we will miss the colourful banter between you and Maureen.

They truly broke the mould when they made you George your may be gone but you will never be forgotten.

Love Mark, Donna and kids

RIP Uncle George,
Never forget I used to wait for you to pull up in your van down Church St so i could help you unload all the box's of fish off the van onto the stall. You gave me £5 for my trouble which wasnt a lot even back then!
Lots of Love

I would be waiting for deb in the front room leaning on the wall and George would always say I'll buy you a lamppost to lean on cause every time I see you your leaning on my wall. The language was a bit more colourful though. You Georgie Boy are what I would call a REAL DAD, I have known you for most of my 60 years on this earth and know you were loved by hundreds including me. Probably cocking your leg on the bar in heaven right now with a large one in hand making everyone laugh with your wicked sense of humor. Peace be with you sweet man.
I also remember being slung in the fish van Janet, hilarious times. R.I.P always.

Love always Christine Donovan

One last thing how you didn't turn your back on me or Lucy when other's did, we will miss you kind man, until we meet again mines a diet coke!! xx
