Marion and my wife (died in 2017), also Marion (sometimes confusing) were the greatest of friends from their school days. Marion M used to come to stay with us from time to time and the conversation between the two seemed non-stop. I could hardly get a word in edgeways and a friend who visited when Marion M was with us thought they must be sisters.
Such was the family link that Marion and I used to speak on the phone from time to time even after my wife Marion died. A very special friendship and I was privileged to be a small part of it.
