Joan Gent (19 Jan 1929 - 28 Dec 2024)

In loving memory of Joan Gent who sadly passed away on 28th December 2024.

Joan was the sort of person you could talk to about anything without judgment.  She was understanding, and she always genuinely cared about how you felt, no matter what. She always tried to help, and if she couldn't help, then she would be there for support. She was kind. She always put everyone else first. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary, for anyone she loved, not just family, and she loved everyone who was a part of her life. She was such a special person. She was very set in her ways, and had beliefs that were almost unshakeable, but if you could prove her wrong she would apologise without hesitation. She had the innocence of a child, yet the wisdom of someone who had lived a colourful life. She hadn't had an easy upbringing,  yet was grateful for everything that life had given her. There was always someone worse off than her, even during her darkest days. She always said she had a good life, and that she knew she was loved. She was loved. Immeasurably.
