It is with great sadness that we report the death of Robert George Newton, known as Bob, on 29th December 2024 at the age of 95.
Bob was married to Vera until her death in 2008 and was the father, grandfather and great grandfather to Paul, Timothy and Sarah and their families. They all have fond memories of him and will miss him greatly.
He was also well known as a local family doctor, working in the Beeston and Chilwell areas alongside Doctors Hunting and Perry until he retired in 1989. Many of his former patients still remember him and greeted him in the street.
