In loving memory of Patricia Andrews who sadly passed away on 4th January 2025.

Patricia was born on 15th May 1938 to Joseph and Martha Lever in Chorley, Lancashire and was baptised a week later at St. Gregory's Church. She grew up in Leyland alongside her two younger brothers, Tony and Vincent, both sadly also departed. The family attended St. Mary's Church and all three children went to St. Mary's Catholic School.

At 11, Patricia moved to grammar school run by the nuns of the Holy Child of Jesus, in Preston. Knowing that she wished to be a teacher, she progressed to Teacher Training College run by the Notre Dame nuns in Liverpool. Once qualified, Patricia began teaching in Brownedge before a post became available in her childhood school at St. Mary's in Leyland, where she stayed until she married Donald Andrews in 17th August 1963.

After a brief stay in Colchester, where their first child Lynn was born, they moved to Rochester and joined the congregation of St. John Fisher, buying a house in Borstal. Janet, Carol and Kevin were born in the coming years.

In 1973, the family moved to Kitwe, Zambia where Donald worked in the copper mines and Patricia went back to teaching. On returning from Africa, she got a job at the newly opened St. William of Perth Catholic Primary School, where she remained for 19 years until her retirement.

Her subsequent years were spent enjoying retired life, helping with grandchildren and travelling until eventually the years caught up with them and Donald Andrews passed away on 13th September 2021. Patricia continued to attend St. John Fisher church until her sad demise.
