Grandma,

It's impossible to describe how much you are missed. You taught me my alphabet, you sang me to sleep. You were there for me from the moment I was born and I could never thank you enough for the ways you looked after me. I feel so heartbroken that I can't ring you at the end of the day and hear your voice - what I wouldn't give to hear it one last time. Everything about you is missed, from the tomato and onion sandwiches you loved so much to your fantastic Christmas tree. We were so lucky to know you and have you in our lives. I pray that you are comfortable, that you feel at peace now and that you are watching over us - we need your strength now more than ever. I'll love you forever Grandma <3

Grandma,

Words can’t describe how much I miss you. You were the kindest, strongest and funniest person I knew, and I wouldn’t be who I am today without you. I still can’t quite believe you aren’t there anymore; I’ll cherish every moment I spent with you, laughing over dinner or a quick cup of tea with (many) biscuits. When you used to drop me off at school, we’d sign ‘I love you’ through the window to each other to say goodbye. This is the hardest goodbye, but I know that wherever you are, when I say I love you, you’ll be saying it right back. You fought so hard and never let on, but I hope you’re finally at rest now. I’ll miss you always.

Jada.

Mum I will love and miss you forever. You fought so hard for so long with such dignity - I wish I had half your strength. You loved like a lion and gave so much of yourself to everyone. Family was you, and we have lost our foundation. I will cherish the time we spent together and wish it could have been longer, there is still so much for you to share with me and the girls. Courtney and Jada have lost the most precious grandma - you supported them so fiercely and always made them believe they could! I know you were so very proud of them. When times get tough I will remember you and the good times we spent together, you had a wonderful way of putting the world to rights - so many giggles. I will take comfort in knowing you are back in the embrace of your mammy and daddy and brothers and sisters who passed before you - you missed them all so much for so long. Be at peace and rest now mum, it’s your time to be taken care of.
With all my love, always and forever 💕

Dear Aunty Trisha, I don’t want to say goodbye just yet, everything happened far too quickly for it to be real. I don’t think I told you enough how much you meant to me or how much I loved you and how much I admired you. Growing up I spent more time in your home than I did my own. You treated me like one of yours, how lucky was I and how generous and kind were you, six children of your own and then another cheeky mouth to feed. But that’s you all over, always there for everyone, making sure the entire family was ok, making everyone feel important and loved. I hope you’re receiving great love now and your mum and dad, brothers and sisters are all holding you tightly, that Doyle love know’s no bounds so I know they’ll be taking care of you already. Give my dad a kiss for me, I love you Aunty Trisha x

My Beautiful Mum,
I’m not ready to say goodbye, you haven’t really left, instead I will say sleep peacefully, go ahead and rest. There is no more suffering, no more pain, it’s time for you to be at peace, our loss is heavens gain. May Grandad & Grandma embrace you, as they haven’t in a while, it comforts me to know you can now relax and smile. Thank you for all you were, know you were enough, that everything you did for us, was always done with love. In my heart and memories is where you will reside and I know that God has given you a place by my side, to comfort and give me strength when grief is hard to bear for to lose you so quickly was so unfair. The thought of carrying on this life fills me with dread but I remember the words that you said “Take care of that little one for her you must go on” so I’ll keep my promise to you and keep your memory alive, my Mum, Teegii’s Grandma whom we’ll love for all our lives. May you rest in Eternal Peace Mum. Until we are reunited Love Always your daughter Angela 💕
