In loving memory of John Helliwell who slipped away after a short battle with cancer on 31st December 2024.
Instead of flowers, wife Alison and children Olivia and James have asked for donations to Prostate Cancer UK or to Kirkwood Hospice where he was due to be cared for.
Please join family and friends for the celebration of John's life at 12.30pm on Monday 3rd February at Huddersfield Crematorium HD2 2JF, and afterwards at The Golden Cock, Farnley Tyas HD4 6UD. Come in what you're comfortable in (although John was always partial to a Goth-cum-steam punk look).

Very fond memories of an absolute gentleman.
In particular I shall be eternally grateful for the cards and cartoons John sent to my disabled son Thomas during lockdown. Thomas is in residential care and we couldn’t see him for many months. John was one of a number of friends who sent Thomas cards.
