To My Very Dear Sister-in-Law - How I have missed talking with you over the phone these past few years. When we came over to Nottingham to visit I always enjoyed our face-to-face chats and truly admired and respected your definitive black and white view points. You were a strong woman and a good loving sister who will be sorely missed. God bless you dear Sylvia.
Malcolm

To Sylvia,

It is said that Alzheimer’s is another word for a long goodbye and this has certainly been the case with you dear Sylvia. You are now finally at peace.
As children in Yorkshire and later in Nottingham, we played together, laughed together, cried together, mourned together, told secrets together, and loved together. In our adult years, due to the miles that separated us we didn’t see each other very often but we kept in touch by telephone and letter. Because of this devastating illness that robbed you of so much, I was unable to communicate with you this past two, almost three years. I spoke often to Beverley, who kept me up to date on your progress. I have to say these phone calls made me very sad.
You leave behind your daughter Beverley, your son Alex, and son–in-law Mark, a small but loving family of which you were very proud.
Of your original family, there is only our brother Ron and myself left now. One of my dearest wishes was that you could have met my lovely grandchildren, Sydney and Sam. They would have been a delight to you as they are to me.
Malcolm, Lisa and Bernie were very sad to hear of your passing and send their deepest love.

Yur ever-loving sister, Christine
