I hope this is the same David. If not my condolences go out to you anyway. This Christmas season I met my friend on the train, and he told me he’d met David and given him my piece of Christmas cake from Greggs. Long story short, we got to Leeds on the train and my friend Alan wanted to make sure he was okay. We helped him off the train and listened to his tales as we escorted him to the Marriott. My friend hadn’t heard from him so I popped into the Marriott and although they gave me no details. They said there was little point leaving my number. If this is the same David, you were such a gentleman. I hope you enjoyed your last days. Alan regrets not taking you up on the offer of a drink. We missed the beginning of our movie, and I guess I’ll never get a piece of cake back from you. But it was a pleasure. Sincere condolences from Perveen and Alan. I am thinking that our cinema date might have been your last day.
