Derek James Mattocks (27 Mar 1935 - 19 Dec 2024)

In loving memory of Derek James Mattocks who sadly passed away on 19th December 2024 His Funeral Service will be at Sprowston Cemetery at 1:30 for a graveside service and after that onto Wroxham Road Methodist Church for a memorial Service.

Derek James Mattocks, 89, a beloved resident of Sprowston, sadly left our world on the 19th December 2024 in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn after a short illness.

A dedicated and loving family man, Derek was born in East Dereham on the 27th March 1935, and worked as a Payroll and Wages Clerk at St Andrew’s Hospital for many years. In September 1966 he married his dear wife Jill, who passed in 1996 after a happy 29-year marriage. A well-loved and popular member of the community, Derek was an avid Arsenal fan and loved going to his local Methodist church.

He is succeeded by his two children and five grandchildren.
