In loving memory of Michael David Morris 'Mike' who sadly passed away on 2nd December 2024 aged 73.

Mike was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and grew up in Middlesbrough. He was educated at Bootham School (York), UCL and Nottingham.

He practised as a lawyer at Hawley & Rodgers Solicitors for 30 years.

He was an active community volunteer, in youth work and helping to set up Stonebridge City Farm as a young man and in retirement he became Chair of Lambley Parish Council, a school governor and member of Nottingham Prison Monitoring Board.

He was a patient fan of Middlesbrough FC and the England cricket team, particularly enjoying watching and playing sport with his grandchildren.

He loved literature, gardening, walking in the countryside near his home in Lambley and holidaying in the Lake District.

He is survived by a wonderful group of friends, his children Samuel, Lizzie and Lance and nine grandchildren, whom he adored. We will miss him terribly.

I met Mike when we both started doing Parkinson's Warrior exercises at Trent Vineyard. Mike was wonderfully warm and friendly and we became good friends and I used to visit him and play chess or table tennis and we always had a lovely chat about our families and cricket! I will miss him terribly and send all my best wishes to Lizzie and his extended family.
