Funeral Director
In loving memory of Maureen Cecilia Collins nee O'Riordan, who sadly passed away on 23rd November 2024.
Maureen was beloved; a daughter, sister, wife, mum and nanna (and with Connor and Jamie expecting the arrival of Peanut in the new year, very nearly a great nanna).
Diminutive, she was fast to correct any allegation that she stood at just 5 feet 2 inches (she actually stood 5 feet 2 and 1/2 inches!), but the hole she leaves in the world, and our lives cannot be measured in feet or inches. It is enormous. She was and did many things in her long life, but most of all she loved, always and fiercely and was loved in return by us all.
The funeral will be held at Eltham Crematorium on the 17 December 2024, with a prompt start at 2.30pm, with Canon Michael Branch leading us and will be followed by Afternoon Tea (goodness, how Maureen loved tea and cake) at the Banana Garden in Sidcup, which we visited often with Maureen and which she always really enjoyed. Rather than flowers, we'd encourage please a donation to Maureen's nominated charity - Carers Support, Bexley.
Whenever we travelled, Maureen would wish us "Ve Con Dios" - go with God. As she travels on from this world, with all of our love, we can but wish her the same. God bless and rest well lovely xxx The Collins/Curtis/Faulkes family
