In loving memory of Christopher Peter (Chris) Hollett who sadly passed away on 27th November 2024

Chris , was a wonderful husband of 45 years, loving Dad to Hayley, Emma and James, a very proud Grandad to Alfie, Ellis Joseph and Theo.
Suffered numerous health problems the last 3 years, but bore them stoically and with humour.
Now at peace, will be missed and loved forever.

Deeply saddened when I read these of Chris passing, despite it being more than 50 years since we last met. Great memories sharing a desk with Chris in Mr Cleminsons, and then growing up together sharing adventures in the Scouts, so many camping trips, camping absailing and so on, plus 5 years of Gang Show and all the fun around it. At the same time we both shared a love of music, and Chris later introduced me to new bands like Cream and Led Zeppelin that changed my musical outlook. This led to going to my first gig with him at Dreamland Ballroom, at his instigation, which profoundly affected me and led to my lifelong career as an audio technician and later business owner. Thank you Chris you really changed my life. I so regret that our paths never knowingly crossed again.

We completed many a shift at the Eastern Docks together, including the annual Beaujolais races!
We managed to follow each other about within Customs for most of 30 years! Rest in peace 'Mr Hollett'.

Lovely memories of Chris back in our late teenage years ! The wonderful valentines chocolates he bought for Dawn from a posh shop in London ! The bacon rolls we would eat at Dawns mums at some ridiculous early hours of the morning after we had been for a night out !
He was a great family man , loving husband ,great son and brother !
His later years were not what he planned but Dawn and Chris made the best of what they could . Our love goes to Dawn and all the family ! Maureen , Paul and family xxxxx
